Cantueso Holiday Cottages

Our holiday complex comprises 10 self-catering cottages for 1 to 6 persons. All houses enjoy superb views and have a self-contained terrace and BBQ, and are surrounded by lush gardens near the “soft water” swimming pool. All of this together with Mini Golf, table tennis, darts, table football, boules, a football area, swings, slides etc make for an ideal family holiday location.

Swimming Pool: Our 12 x 6 metre pool is securely fenced with self-closing gates, all to the latest European standards, however parents should always be vigilant as the pool does not have a life guard. Parents may also appreciate that we have reduced the depth at the shallow end to ½ metre and now have easy access steps for children. Pool towels are not provided but may be hired for a nominal amount.

Air-conditioning: Some houses have air-conditioning, which gives cooling in summer and heating in winter. Inverter technology is used making them very economic to use. If you would like a cottage with these facilities please mention when booking. Payment is made with meter cards, meaning you only pay for the electricity used .

Village close by: We are 1.5 kilometres from the village of Periana where all the usual facilities such as supermarkets, doctors, chemist, bars and restaurants are to be found. A drive of 20 minutes will get you to the sea and there are many splendid walks and cycle rides to be made nearby. Horse riding is also available in nearby village.

The cottages: Built in traditional Andalucían style with wooden ceilings and furnishings. There is a wood-burning stove in the sitting room, and bathrooms have both bath and shower (over the tub).

The American style open plan kitchen/dining area has all kitchen utensils and tableware provided. It has a two burner gas hob and microwave oven. Bed linen and towels are also provided and changed weekly.

Spanish Digital Television, Radio and DVD players are standard in all cottages and some have satellite tv with UK programs.

There is a also a safe and smoke and carbon monoxide alarm in all cottages.

Washing machine: a machine is provided for your use and is situated in the laundry room along with an iron and board (4€ per load) . There is washing line alongside and in each house there is a mini clothes airer.

For families: cots, buggies, stair gates and highchairs are also available, however these must be reserved at the time of booking.

Free Wi-Fi: There is good mobile telephone coverage and we provide free wi-fi access on the terrace and in the restaurant for guests.

For those times when you prefer not to cook you can enjoy the professionally cooked food in our restaurant, or simply enjoy some tapas on the terrace. A children’s menu is available with freshly cooked small portions.

Party Time: For that special occasion you can even book the whole complex of ten houses with special rates.

Disabled Access: We have disabled access into the restaurant and some houses, but please let us know exactly what is required at the time of booking.

Animals: Pets may be allowed after consultation. No aggressive or badly behaved dogs are permitted and a deposit will be required to cover any damage that may be caused. Dogs must be kept on a lead or under complete control at all times, and exercised in the designated area. Owners are responsible for cleaning up after any accidents. Please see booking page.

Wood Burning Stoves: All cottages have a wood burning stove and if in winter you require wood it is available at 5€ per crate.

Gas Water Heating: Gas for hot water and cooking is included in the cottage cost.
