“Relaxation at its very best”

We have visited Cantueso a few times now, and I never grow tired of it. The view is truly breathtaking and it is only a short drive from Malaga. The holiday cottages have been renovated sympathetically and contain everything you will need for your stay. Nicky is the perfect hostess and always very welcoming. We can also highly recommend the apartment above the restaurant for accomodation. We would happily stay in the cottages or apartments on their own, but the restaurant is the icing on the cake. The food is very reasonably priced and a few hours can be lost enjoying lunch on the terrace, enjoying the view and a few glasses of wine. Both the cottages and restaurant are very good value for money, and the nearby town of Periana is a lovely place to walk around. I would not hesitate to recommend Cantueso to anyone looking for peace and quiet, good food and wine, and a warm welcome.

“A fantastic location, very peaceful”

This was our second stay at Cantueso. The location is fantastic – great views – it’s away from the hustle and bustle of tourists but within a 20 minute drive you can be at the coast. The cottages are typical Andalucian style – no luxuries or mod cons but are very clean and have everything you need. If you need anything extra provided, nothing is too much trouble. It is very safe for children and our children each year make European friends – they have no language barrier. The onsite restaurant is fantastic. Great food cooked by Carmen and her team. Again, nothing is too much trouble. There is a good choice of food and wine and you can also take food and wine back to your cottage if you so wish. We cannot fault Cantueso – we would recommend it to anyone. You really need to have a hire car – the walk to the village is, in our opinion, a bit too far. We have already booked for 2010. Nicky and all of her staff deserve to do well.

“Wonderful location for a group.”

Having enjoyed Cantueso as a couple on a number of occasions, we shared the experience with six other couples. All fourteen agreed that Nicky and her staff both planned and oversaw our stay in a most satisfactory way. There were NO complaints – nothing but plaudits. The convenience to airports, the village, supermarkets, places of interest, majestic scenery and wonderful walking country make this an ideal holiday centre for two to sixteen people.
