Frequently Asked Questions
On which days can we arrive?
Any day of the week: we do not have a set arrival or departure day, enabling you to make use of cheaper mid-week flights.
Do you allow dogs?
Yes, after consultation, however no aggressive or noisy dogs are welcome. There is a charge of 5 euros per night.
Is bed linen provided?
We provide sheets, duvet covers, pillows and bath towels, which are changed weekly. Pool/beach towels are not provided.
Is the swimming pool heated?
No, but you can normally swim between May and September.
What is the pool depth?
The shallow end is about half a metre and the deep end two metres. The
pool is 12 x 6 metres.
What activities are there for children?
Swimming, table tennis, billiards, football area, swings, slide, table football, boules and darts. There are also mountain bikes to hire for both adults and children.
How far are the shops?
In Periana, 1.5 km away, there are supermarkets and other shops (baker, butcher and fishmongers). There is a major supermarket and other shops near Torre Del Mar.
Is there a doctor in Periana?
Yes there is a health centre in the Town Hall building and they will see visitors. EC residents should have their relevant documents with them, including a European Health Insurance Card.
Is there a chemist nearby?
Yes, opposite the Town Hall.
When are the shops open?
They are normally open Monday to Saturday, from 8.00 to 14.00h and then
17.00 to 20.00h. Closed Sunday. If you are arriving on a Sunday and would
like us to prepare a "survival" pack please let us know. The restaurant
is open on Sunday until 15.30h.
How many beds do the houses have?
The two-bedroom houses sleep four with the option of a sofa bed in the sitting room. We also have one two-bedroom house which sleeps five without a sofa bed, The one-bedroom houses sleep two but some have the option of using a sofa bed. There is an extra charge for sofa beds.
Do you have high chairs, stair gates and cots?
Yes, there is a high chair available in the restaurant and some available
for guests to use in the houses. Some cots are also available. Stair
gates are available where there are stairs, please check before booking.
At what time may we check in?
Check-in is after 16.00h and check-out before 12.00h. If the timing of your flight means that you arrive early we will always try to help if there is a house prepared, however at busy times this will not be possible. It is also why we need you to observe check-out times as we need time to clean and prepare for the next guests’ arrival.
Can we eat in the restaurant?
Yes, of course, and you will always be given priority when booking. The opening times are shown on the restaurant page.
Can we buy take-away food and drink?
Yes, we will be happy to provide any items from the menu for you to consume in your house. We also offer a special 6-bottle pack of wine at reduced rates for home consumption.
How is the kitchen equipped?
There is a two-burner stove, fridge, saucepans, crockery, cutlery and glassware.
Microwave ovens are available but must be requested at time of booking. There
are also smoke and carbon monoxide detectors in each kitchen.
Are there laundry facilities?
There is a washing machine for communal use and it costs 4€ per load .
Do the houses and restaurant have wheelchair access?
There is wheelchair access to the restaurant, but for the houses please check before booking.
Are children allowed in the restaurant?
Yes, of course children are welcome in the restaurant. There is a children's menu available.
What sort of heating is there in the houses?
For the winter months there is a wood-burning stove in the sitting room and an
electric heater in the bedroom of each house. Some houses have reverse cycle
air conditioning which provides either heating or cooling. Meter cards are
available at a cost of 5€.
Is the water safe to drink?
We do not advise that you drink the water, it is more prudent to drink bottled water.
Is the restaurant open for breakfast?
No, the restaurant is open for lunch and dinner each day (closed Sunday evening and all day Monday).
